SAMPLE ITINERARY

DAY 1   You have heard your Mother calling and today you are boarding non stop overnight flights from across the United States to Frankfurt Germany.  Dinner and breakfast will be served en route.

DAY 2   Arriving in Frankfurt the group comes together.  Waiting to greet you on arrival is your Our Lady Calls escort.  From Frankfurt we fly together to Split Croatia.  Aboard our private motor coach we travel along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Adriatic Coast. Quaint villages, rich vegetation, breathtaking vistas, uninhabited islands, white pebble beaches, crystal clear water and stunning scenery make this region unforgettable.  Onward through the Bosnian countryside we come ever nearer to our destination, Medjugorje.  Waiting for us upon our arrival at “our home away from home,” will be our hosts.  We should arrive in time for a rest, dinner, the evening rosary and the spiritually uplifting Croatian Mass and evening program at St. James church, a short five-six minute walk from our host’s home.

DAY 3-10   We will meet pilgrims from around the world and enjoy unique cultural encounters while experiencing all that Medjugorje has to offer.  We will have the freedom to explore Medjugorje at our own pace, on our own time, or you may choose to participate in the scheduled activities our local guide and St. James parish plan daily.  Many pilgrims choose to climb Mount Krezevac (Cross Mountain) and Podbrodo (Apparition Hill)…participate in the Stations of the Cross…listen to talks by the visionaries as well as local and visiting clergy… attend healing services…go to confession…attend daily morning and evening services at St. James church…pray before the Lord at Eucharistic Adoration…take time for private reflection…repose in contemplative prayer….visit local support communities…do some volunteer work…gather with your group in the evenings for scripture and shared prayer…attend Veneration of the Cross…walk and take in the local beauty…rest and relax in the peace that is Medjugorje.  You will have the opportunity to take a side trip to the beautiful medieval walled city of Dubrovnik (optional, at an additional minimal cost.) Expect the unexpected.  You will be treated to enjoyable surprises.  You will experience activities that are unique to Our Lady Calls pilgrimages.

DAY 11   Leaving the peace and tranquility of Medjugorje, the praying masses, the joys you have embraced and your newfound brothers and sisters in Christ, to return home will be somewhat sad and bittersweet, but you will know in your heart you now take with you many graces and blessings of the wonderful experience of your time spent in this little piece of heaven on earth.  After an early breakfast and farewells to our hosts, the bus will depart for Split where we will catch our return flights to the United States and home.
